Streamlining Production with ArtCam Pro
Have you ever wondered how the believable make-believe worlds that you see in theme parks or in Las Vegas are made?
For the past eight years Streamline Automation has been working with entrepreneurs and theming companies to automate their production processes, enabling them to create ”works of art” out of foam. More recently Streamline has been applying its know-how and technology to bronze foundries for sculptural enlargement and architectural concrete companies wanting to offer a greater range of custom work.

Since developing its first 3D Foam Carving System, Streamline has sold to a variety of clients across North America, Europe, Asia and Central America. To ensure Streamline’s global clients would have the software tools to do just about anything imaginable, Streamline selected ArtCAM Pro to be a critical component in its FROG3D System.
Streamline chose ArtCAM Pro for its ability to do the heavy lifting when it comes to 3D file manipulation and the modeling of 3D relief files. “ArtCam Pro integrates seamlessly with Streamline’s FROGScan 3D scanning technology, which is important for ease of use,” says Geoff Brennan, Streamline’s lead technician.

ArtCAM Pro simplifies the conversion of FROGScan’s point clouds format into an editable 3D file format. This capability enables Streamline’ clients to have much greater flexibility when setting their jobs up for production. ArtCAM Pro also offers clients additional capabilities in part production through ArtCAM’s 2D and 2.5D machining functionality.
Streamline is certified to provide its clients with ArtCam Pro training and support. “Because we have systems across North America and in other parts of the world it is important that we use software that is cost effective to support,” states Dwayne.
“Not only does ArtCAM Pro provide our clients powerful capabilities to manipulate our FROGScan files, which can be sent off to the milling machine easily but ArtCAM is also a great company to work with” concludes Geoff.
