By organising a ‘Stack’ of 3D reliefs onto separate layers you not only have the ability to easily edit each layer independently, but you also have the ability to dynamically change the relationship between each layer allowing you to create and manage a range of different 3D designs within one model file. Simplified and Streamlined Interface
ArtCAM Pro's interface has been streamlined to simplify workflow and reduce the apparent complexity of the software. Icons have been neatly organised into feature groups and a second detachable page has been added to the right-hand side of the work area to hold the layer management system and toolbox add-ins.

Adobe Compatibility
ArtCAM Pro 9 can now import PDF documents – the format fast becoming the industry standard for image data transfer. When importing a complex PDF file, all the image and vector pages within the PDF document are converted automatically into separate vector and image layers within the ArtCAM Pro. ArtCAM Pro 9 also includes full support for 16 Bit Greyscale TIFF files.

Dynamically Adjustable Model Resolution
To help further speed up workflow the resolution of any artwork and the related reliefs can now be adjusted during the design process. This means that low-resolution artwork, from the Internet for example, can be imported and then the resolution increased to improve dramatically the quality of the resultant relief model.

Larger Tool Database
ArtCAM Pro’s CNC tool database has been expanded and now includes several additional complex carving tool shapes. Three of these – Ogee, Roman Ogee and Roundover – are among the most commonly used raised-panel tool shapes in the furniture and woodworking industries. They are popular for producing efficient but attractive edge finishes on 2D designs.
